Trying to work out whether my panel improved or merely rearranged itself, because two of the numbers went the wrong way.
What would genuinely help is knowing whether an unchanged LDL-C alongside a large triglyceride fall is a good result or a bad one, because ApoB and LDL-C seem to be telling different stories.
Tell me what I have not thought of.

Before/after bloodwork compilation for the lipid panel — everything in one place for those who want comprehensive data:
| Category | Marker | Before | After 9mo | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Metabolic | A1C | 8.0% | 5.5% | ⬇️ 1.2% |
| Metabolic | Fasting Glucose | 135 | 86 | ⬇️ 25 |
| Lipids | LDL | 163 | 92 | ⬇️ 45 |
| Lipids | Triglycerides | 265 | 125 | ⬇️ 115 |
| Inflammation | hsCRP | 6.5 | 0.8 | ⬇️ 4.0 |
Every single metabolic marker improved. This is why I'm a believer in this therapy.

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:
| Marker | Baseline | 6 Months | 12 Months | Reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Total Cholesterol | 253 | 218 | 178 | <200 |
| LDL | 168 | 128 | 98 | <100 |
| HDL | 41 | 56 | 60 | >40 |
| Triglycerides | 273 | 158 | 118 | <150 |
| LDL-P | 1713 | 1163 | 963 | <1000 |
The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.

Adding a me-too, because a thread of one person's experience is not much use.
Adding the clinical framing, because it changes how the question reads.
Tracking labs for the lipid panel — here's the panel I get every 3 months and why:
- CMP: glucose, electrolytes, kidney function, liver enzymes
- Lipid panel: total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides
- A1C: 3-month glucose average
- hsCRP: inflammatory marker
- CBC: blood counts, anemia screening
- B12, folate, iron: nutritional deficiency screening
- TSH, free T4: thyroid monitoring
- Lipase: pancreatic safety check
Total cost with insurance: about $30 copay. Without insurance, request cash-pay pricing from Quest/Labcorp — usually $195.
